• Certifies slaughter houses, distributors and retail locations that provide ONLY proper, hand-slaughtered zabiha halal meat from SBNY certified locations or SBNY monitored in-house slaughtering processes

• Perpetually monitors certified locations by conducting random inspections of invoices and merchandise of certified locations

• Currently, SBNY has numerous slaughterhouses, processing plants, distributors, retail stores,  restaurants certified and monitored

MARRIAGE COUNSELING

• Marriage counseling helps couples of all types recognize and resolve conflicts and improve their relationships through religious and spiritual marriage counseling, thus couples can make thoughtful decisions about rebuilding their relationship
• SBNY focuses on helping couples and families to overcome challenges by using the wisdom of the Quran and Sunnah, with various religious and spiritual therapy techniques
• Offers Shara’ee marriage counseling with a team of experienced Ulama and certified Muftis who work within the guidelines of the Shariah
• Conducted over a number of one-on-one sessions, therapy is offered in a wide variety of settings: in person, over the phone and online

FAIR THIRD-PARTY ARBITRATION

• Offers impartial mediation according to the Shari’ah regarding family matters, conflicts, parenting, talaq (divorce), faskh-e-nikah (separation), and various other issues posing challenges to the community

• Provides simple interpretations of the rules of the Shari’ah and their application to daily life available via phone, online and in person

MOON SIGHTING

• SBNY is committed to the pure Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), which entails an effort to sight the moon locally every month since many of the injunctions of the Deen are based on this. Thus, SBNY sends out groups of community members to sight the moon every month
• Conducts much-needed public awareness programs about the issue of moon sighting every 29th of the Islamic lunar month in different masajid/organizations throughout the NY/NJ/CT tristate area
