SBNY strives to serve the Muslim Ummah in their religious, spiritual, social and personal matters including parenting, marriage counseling, family conflict mediation, fair arbitration of mutual conflicts in business and common affairs, monthly local moon sighting effort, Zabiha Halal certification and monitoring, distribution of free informative pamphlets and brochures about Hajj, Sadaqatul Fitr, Mahar, preparing wills, etc. and answers to everyday masa-il of the Deen which are all are provided FREE OF CHARGE to the Muslim community.

Alhumdulillah, In the past few years we have:

Answered over 7500 Shariah and Islamic Fiqh related questions

• Counseled over 100 (families), in matters of marital disputes, of which about 70% were reconciled
• Counseled on business disputes, resolving them amicably in the light of the Shariah
• Provided guidance in matters of inheritance and wills
• Actively been involved in helping spread the awareness about the Local Moon Sighting
• Formalized the beginning of Islamic lunar months by using proper Hilal sighting methods
• Provided guidance with Halal products and Zabiha Halal meat in the market place. Currently we are monitoring 4 slaughter houses,  7 Zabiha Halal store locations and 2 restaurants certified and perpetually monitored by the Ulama
• Conducted a number of educational and spiritual programs including those for Zabiha, Ramadan and Hajj, at various Masajid
